eye on retinal health

meet the latest in ultra retinal wide field imaging

The Clarus retinal camera will be used in our office to capture high resolution images of the retina and far periphery.  This adds immense value to the efficiency and breadth of the eye exam.  The goal of this technology is to aid in the detection and diagnosis of ocular disease.  We're excited for you to come in and check it out.

Learn more at the Zeiss website.

Why do we do this?

Giving your doctor a better view of the back of your eye assists your doctor in diagnosing common diseases and conditions, possibly at their earliest stages.
They include:
  • Diabetes
  • High blood pressure
  • Macular degeneration
  • Retinal detachment
  • Glaucoma

Certain symptoms may require a dilated examination to determine the cause. Some conditions requiring follow-up examinations may not need dilation at every visit unless there are new symptoms or concerns.  Learn more at our services page.
