covid-19 updates

Thank you all for your understanding as we weather this outbreak together.
Diamond Vision Optometry is currently open for normal clinic hours and services.
However, in light of the Safer-at-home guidelines enacted on December 6, 2020, we highly recommend scheduling any routine, non-urgent services after January 1, 2021.
We are happy to see you, as always, but would advise you to continue to be vigilant and limit your risk in contracting and/or spreading this very contagious virus.

Telephone and video consultations may also be scheduled for certain eye conditions.
Please schedule by emailing
info@diamondvision2020.com.

As a bonus, we offer free direct shipping of contact lens orders, for those who have valid contact lens prescriptions.  You are welcome to email the office to place your order, or you may take advantage of our website's contact lens order portal.

During your visit to our office, you may notice that our layout has changed to accommodate social distancing rules.
There will be a strict limit on the number of persons in the office at one time.
Wearing masks and gloves is encouraged.
In our profession, it is incumbent to have close personal contact, at times touching your eyes and face.
Please only make your appointment if you have not been in contact with anyone who is ill and if you have been adhering to the Safer at Home guidelines.

Please review the updated office policies:
Our practice will screen patients, visitors and staff members for symptoms of COVID-19 prior to and/or upon their arrival at the facility.  Please expect to be screened at each visit.
1. Fever (as
defined by the CDC as a temperature at or above 100.4°F) will be assessed utilizing a non-contact temperature reader.
2.  Screening questions include:
  • asking if they have tested positive for COVID-19.
  • asking if they are coughing.
  • asking if they have shortness of breath.
  • asking if they have red eye or eyes (conjunctivitis can be a presenting sign of COVID-19).
3. If patients or staff report or appear ill, it will be recommended that they consult and/or seek medical care from their primary care physician (PCP) the same day.
4. Patients or staff should consult their PCP first unless they are experiencing emergency warning signs. If any emergency warning signs for COVID-19 are present, seek medical attention immediately.  These signs include
  • Trouble breathing.
  • Persistent pain or pressure in the chest.
  • New confusion or inability to arouse.
  • Bluish lips or face.

Our facilities are cleaned and disinfected in between each patient.  Any commonly touched surfaces, such as the door handle, chairs, table surfaces, pens, clipboards, and others are all subject to be cleaned with bleach solution or hydrogen peroxide.  All frames which are handled by staff or patients are disinfected in a UV light sanitizer box prior to being placed back on the showroom floor.  Please be patient as we prepare the space for your arrival.

Please direct all inquiries to our email info@diamondvision2020.com, and you will receive a response in a timely manner.
Be safe and stay healthy.
